Joe "Country" Washburn
Born: December 28, 1904 - Houston, Texas
Died: January 21, 1974 - Santa Ana, California

Composer, vocalist, author, and bass player. Grew up in Port Arthur where father was postmaster. Performed in dance orchestras and was featured performer with the Ted Weems Band (1924-42). Songs include "One Dozen Roses," "I Saw Esau," "That's the Reason," and "We'll Sing the Old Songs."
