Jimmy Wyble
Born: January 25, 1922 - Port Arthur, Texas

Guitarist, songwriter, and author. Attended Port Arthur schools. Staff musician on Houston radio station (1941-42). In army (1942-46). Played with Spade Cooley, The Norvo Quintet, and Benny Goodman Band. Appeared on the Flip Wilson Show and Kraft Music Hall. Studied classical guitar with Laurindo Almeida. Film recordings include The Wild Bunch, Oceans Eleven, and Kings Go Fourth. LP albums recorded on include Windjammer, Red Norvo Plays the Blues, The Swing Era, and The Sound of Music. Teaches guitar and has written guitar instruction books. Lives in San Francisco.
