Huey P. Meaux
Born: March 10, 1929 - Wright, Louisiana

Known as "The Crazy Cajun," music producer and manager Huey Meaux operated a barbershop in Winnie, Texas. Had a popular radio program on station KPAC and began recording local acts including Jivin Gene and The Jokers, Glenn Wells and The Blends, and Johnny Preston and The shades. Was also instrumental in furthering the careers of Barbara Lynn, Big Sambo and the Housewreckers, sir Douglas Quintet, and Freddie Fender.
