Glenn Wells
1943 - 2006

Born in Woodville, TX, Glenn Durwood Stilwell, Jr. moved to Port Arthur with his family at an early age. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur followed by the University of Texas at Austin. Under the stage name Glenn Wells, he wrote and performed songs with a group called the Blends during high school years. Later he wrote and recorded such hits as "You're Mine tonight," "Write me a Letter," and "Lesson in Love." Stilwell passed away in Wimberley, TX.
