Arleigh Elton Duff ("Arlie")
Born: March 28, 1924 - Warren, Texas
Singer, guitarist, songwriter, and announcer. Graduated from Nederland High School, Nederland, Texas and Stephen F. Austin State College, Nacogdoches, Texas (B.S. and M.A.).
Taught and coached in Deweyville, A Texas and Warren. Wrote and recorded "Y'all Come" in 1952 (receiving Broadcast Music, Inc. award in 1953A). Worked as a country music announcer in Colorado Springs, Colorado and Austin, Texas after writing such tunes as "It's the Little Things," and "Pore Old Teacher."
