Overnights
Spend the night at the Museum of the Gulf Coast!!

Who: Brownie and Junior Girl Scout Troops

What: Spend the Night at the Museum of the Gulf Coast and sleep amongst the exhibits. Sleepovers include take home crafts, hands-on activities, a scavenger hunt, a planetarium style discovery dome, and a late night pizza snack and breakfast.

When: FRIDAY, October 15, 2010. The program begins with check-in at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 7:00 a.m. the next morning. All groups must be packed up and checked out by 7:00 a.m.; however, troops may remain and tour the Museum or shop in the gift shop.

PROGRAM DETAILS:
Theme: This year's overnight is inspired by the traveling exhibition Earth from Space featuring satellite images from the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum - activities will explore earth science concepts.

Cost: $30 per child & $30 per chaperone

Chaperones: We require 1 adult for every 5 children attending

Registration Policy: To register your troop, you must complete a registration form and submit a nonrefundable $100 deposit no later than 5 weeks prior to the program date (September 10, 2010). Completion of the form does not guarantee registration. Confirmation of registration will be sent via email. Payment of the remaining balance is due 3 weeks prior to the program date along with signed liability waivers for each child and adult attending and a signed copy of the policies and procedures.

Cancellation/Refund Policy: In the event you need to cancel your registration a refund (excluding the $100 deposit) will be given until 2 weeks prior to the program date. Due to staff and supply commitments, no refunds or credits will be given for cancellations made less than 2 weeks prior to the program date. In the unlikely event that the Museum has to cancel due to insufficient enrollment, groups will be given a full refund including deposit.

What to bring: Every participant needs to bring a sleeping bag and pillow, overnight clothes, & only necessary toiletry items. Leaders will want to bring a flashlight.
Museum of the Gulf Coast patches will be available for purchase in the Museum Gift Shop!
